Man Monday – John Travolta

I know it’s dating myself to say that I’ve loved John Travolta since he was a sweathog – but I have!  Then grease came along, and I was absolutely hooked.

When his career was revitalized with Pulp Fiction, I couldn’t have been more tickled.  He’s not one of those stars constantly making odd statements in the press or doing ridiculous things to get attention.

Plus, he’s fun to watch!  Oh those hot summer nights when we all wanted to be Oliva Newton John!

Man Monday – Daniel Day-Lewis, Best Actor

 And the Best Actor Oscar went to: Daniel Day-Lewis for his role in “There will be blood.”  He look great in his tux, and although I didn’t see the movie – it was all the buzz that he was shoe-in for the oscar.  Congratulations to him!

But who can forget his role in ”Last of the Mohicans?”  Bloody movie aside, I remember being riveted to the screen at his performance.  I think it was the first time I even considered a guy with long hair as ”sexy” and boy did he fit the bill.

Man Monday – Mario Lopez

Hmmm…Get a load of those dimples!

So, while thinking about my man monday for today, I had a few possibilites.  Then the other night I happened to catch the latest christmas movie on the family channel (Holiday in Handcuffs) and knew I had a winner.

First of all the movie is cute.  A holiday romance any romance writer (or probably anyone for that matter) could see the ending to from the very beginning.  It’s got some cute sappy moments, some funny moments and yes, the sap and hopelessly romantic that I am – needed the tissues by the end.

Now, I can’t say Mario has always been on my list of hotties – afterall he’s probably waaayyyy to young for me.  But a few minutes with those dimples and then the rest of the oh-la-la package – well – you can guess.

Man Monday – Johnny Depp

I’ve been a Johnny Depp fan way back to “21 Jump Street”, but for me, Captain Jack Sparrow is it. Of course I ran out and got my copy of Pirates 3 last Tuesday – did you? I’ve always loved a good pirate romance, I’m so glad this movie took off the way it did and Jack was back 3 times!

Of the few child stars that have managed to pull their careers into adulthood – I have to say Patrick Dempsey will always be one of my favorites. Is it the boyish grin or the rumpled good looks, I can’t say. But the man’s got charisma.
